Tack weld the patch in place.

Hold the patch in place with one hand and use your mig welder to tack weld all four corners of the patch on the outside of the vehicle.
Press the patch into the hole firmly.
Repeat this process inside the vehicle.
I bought replacement bolts since i gave away the originals with the seats and smeared them with epoxy before screwing them in.
Having removed the bolts and rivets i was left with all these holes to patch.

Use your fingers to flatten and smooth the patch against the area of the car so it follows the contour lines of the vehicle.
Like big enough my pinky fit in them.
It s pretty easy when you know how.
Weld both inside and out.
Then use your fingers to make sure it s attached to the metal all the way around the hole.
